The building extension, with its organically flowing winter garden, provides the indoor pool with a transitional area between the rigorous forms of the existing structure and the park-like outdoor facilities. Nature permeates the addition, which acts as the interface between inside and outside. Its steel structure emulates a tree canopy, and large glazed facades convey the closeness to nature. As a special attraction, a raised gallery and two water slides are integrated into the steel construction.
Changing rooms, sanitary rooms, and entrance area undergo a fundamental architectural revision, which unifies the geometric concept and conversely delineates the individual areas visually.
In the outdoor area, a new children‘s area with a pool is provided, geometrically adapting to the steel „trees“ of the winter garden, in order to create a harmonious, fluid shift into the existing facility.
A complete renovation of the existing pool brings it up to the latest technical standards.
